I tried contacting my "instructor" and never got a reply back...I'm having issues with the Applying Your Skills in Chapter 8.
1. It says "Using Source Document 12, enter the payment information from the remittance advice and apply payments to the account! Well when I try to apply the payment, there is nothing there??? (patient Lisa Wright)
2. I need to screen cap payment statements for Wright and Zapata.... I'm not sure if I'm doing that correctly, since there was nothing about "payment statements" in the exercises. If I am doing it correctly then I do have Zapata's statements but I can't get Wrights. and I have no clue how to!
Can anyone help me???
I've been having issues with the Chapter 8 worksheet....
Just so I know that I am doing it correctly....
Question 1 says: What is the amount the insurance carrier paid for procedure 99211 for John Fitzwilliams on 9/6/2016?
I have $15.00 - is that correct?
Questions 6 and 7 talk about what is listed as the last payment amount on John Fitzwillliams and Shelia Giles account after their insurance payments were entered
For question 6 I have - $5.68
For question 7 I have - $72.80
I'm I anywhere correct on these?
Thank you
Are there any materials that are sent through the mail or is it all pdf files?
Hello I'm very excited to finally get started with a program that fits My schedule, however I have to ask again does this course include ICD10 coding as well? Because as we know ICD9 is supposed to be obsolete as of October of 2015..
I would like to thank my instructor on yesterday, for helping me with some concerns I had with the ICD-10-CM, she also gave me some good tips on how to organize my ICD-9-CM. Was very patient with me, until we came up with an solution. I forgot your name but if you see this post. I would like to say thank you, my ICD-9-CM is looking like a rainbow LOL.
The exam for Writing Sentences and Paragraphs; the first paragraph I am basically pretending I have the skills and qualification for my dream job? Is the paragraph more hypothetical, as in what if?
I really want to fully understand the directions before continuing the exam. So help me, please!
Thank you in advance.
i started coding 2 and I can't find the info for the research paper or do I just go and do the lessons in the manual first.
SO confused
I'm getting ready to take my first exam... Ahhhhh I'm nervous !! I haven't taken a test in 5 years /:
I just started the Medical Billing and Coding course and seeking study partners.... Join me on Google + TesahCarnes@Gmail.com .. This group is not to get test answers but to help each other go through study units... As well as talk about the career of a Medical Biller and Medical Coder as well as taking the certification exams.... lets all win guys... Maybe after each discussion we could compile questions and pose them to an instructor to get clarification on things we do not understand.... Looking forward to working so the class of 2016 can go down in history.
How do my fellow medical billing and coding students like the classes or program as they call it here at Penn Foster?
I've never use MS Word before starting this program & I'm trying to learn thru the lessons. My question is..on the graded exam, On the graded exam do they want you to copy the examples for cover letters, registration forms, etc like it is on the exam page or create your own company & do similar things to prove you understand the basics of how to use MS Word??
I am just starting the Medical Coding 1 portion on the program; do we get textbooks mailed to us to go along with the online materials? Thanks in advance!
I was browsing the community and came across a requirement for weekly discussion for medical billing and coding students. I enrolled four weeks ago and I wasn't informed of this. Does anyone know if this is a requirement? If so, can you make up discussions?
I have been working on my Medical Coding 2 research project and it says that each question must be answered in paragraph form. the only problem is is that the websites do not go into much detail. for example, number one asks how long the company has been in business? the answer is since 1991. how do i make that a whole paragraph? haha
I am wondering how much my salary will be when I am done with this course. Also if anybody knows anything about being a Chief Compliance Officer I would like the information.
Hi Everyone,
Can I use Windows 8 to do my project?
The question asserts that a patient is admitted for an azathioprine I drug-induced aplastic anemia. Without any other detail about the drug incident, do I just assign the undetermined drug E-code or do I assume it's an accident? If I'm making the assumption that this is an accident, do I do the same with assigning other drug E-codes for these quizzes? This looks to be a case in which further physician/ doctor clarification would be necessary to assign the proper code.
I know there's a lot of assuming with other codes like primary neoplasms in these quiz questions is why I ask.
Does anyone know if the final project has to look 100% identical to the examples? I have checked my format, spacing, indents, etc. a 100x and all is correct, and my final project does not look 100% like the example. Did anyone else run into this issue?
